The Board of Directors of Eat'n Park Hospitality Group has named Jeff Broadhurst Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Jeff succeeds his father, Jim, who will retain his role as Chairman. Jeff brings significant training and experience to his new role. He earned a bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to joining Eat'n Park, he was employed by Federated Investors. A member of the Eat'n Park team since 1996, Jeff helped to launch Parkhurst Dining Services. In 2002, he was named President of Parkhurst, and in 2006 he was promoted to President of the Eat'n Park Restaurant Division, overseeing 80 restaurants. Jeff will continue to serve as President of the restaurant division. "I'm excited to be taking on the role of CEO, especially at this time," Jeff says. "As a company, we're approaching our 60th anniversary - that longevity reflects the quality of our products and the talent of our employees. We're in the midst of one of the most exciting times in our history. We have a great team in place, and our three brands are well established and powerful." The development of the brands - Eat'n Park Restaurants, Parkhurst Dining Services and Cura Hospitality - has been led by Jim Broadhurst for 35 years. In the course of more than three decades, Jim has grown and diversified the business, expanded the geographic reach and increased the community support Eat'n Park Hospitality Group provides. "I can't describe the fun and excitement I have had over the last three decades helping to grow the company from 30 restaurants in Pennsylvania to almost 200 restaurants and dining facilities in six states," Jim said. Eat'n Park Hospitality Group maintains a commitment of service to the communities it serves. Every year, the company contributes five percent of its pre-tax earnings to local charitable organizations. In addition, the company has a generous employee scholarship program, which has provided over $1,000,000 in scholarship funds to its employees.
